Continuing Cycles and Postponed Cycles during COVID-19

The Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced that from midnight on the 25th of March 2020, all elective surgeries will be suspended. However we have received word from the government that we will continue to provide fertility treatment for those patients who have already commenced treatment as of the 25th of March 2020.  That means that if you have commenced treatment we will continue as planned.  Your nursing team will continue to communicate with you to ensure treatment is uninterrupted.

Fertility Solutions is a unique clinic, in that it can offer patients access to both theatre and clinic egg collection. Therefore Fertility Solutions’ management team and Medical Director are currently reviewing its position regarding offering patients who have not currently started a cycle but maybe suitable to commence treatment with a clinic egg collection.  We thank you for your patience as we devise a solution that meets our patients needs and is aligned with the Fertility Society of Australia’s position. We do however foresee that some patients will need to postpone treatment, however we will endeavour to communicate with you over the next few weeks to ensure that you are prepared for when we are in a position to again offer our full services.

We will release a statement outlining the criteria patients will need to meet to be able to commence treatment during the COVID-19 pandemic as soon as possible.  Again, we thank you for your patience as we work to provide you with a definitive statement.

If you have any questions please contact our clinic on 1300 FERILITY or email enquiries@fssc.com.au.
