COVID 19 UPDATE – FERTILITY SOLUTIONS

Greater Brisbane Lockdown

As you may be aware Greater Brisbane will enter a three-day lockdown beginning 6pm tonight Friday 8 January 2021 until 6pm Monday 11 January 2021. These areas include; local government areas of Brisbane, Moreton Bay, Ipswich, Redlands and Logan. The lockdown will occur for three days, while contact tracers work to ensure the UK strain of COVID-19 is not circulating in the community.

The advice also states that ANYBODY who has been in Greater Brisbane areas since January 2, 2021, but are now elsewhere in the state, to self-isolate for three days in line with the Brisbane lockdown.

Will this lockdown effect me?

After consultation with Fertility Solution’s Medical Director Dr James Orford and the Buderim Private Hospital, Fertility Solutions have decided that we will not treat any patients during the government mandated lockdown period who reside in the Greater Brisbane area or have visited the Greater Brisbane area since January 2, 2021.

We encourage all patients to be familiar will the Queensland Government advice regarding any updates or mandatory requirements to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

NSW and Victoria

Additional advice has been given by the Queensland Government regarding anyone who has travelled to Victoria and greater Sydney.

Any patients currently in Queensland who have been in Victoria in the last 14 days, should get tested immediately and quarantine at home until receiving a negative COVID-19 test result. All patients who have travelled to Victoria in the last 14 days will not be treated or are permitted into our clinics until they are able to provide a negative test result.

Queensland residents who have been in a declared hotspot (currently Greater Sydney) in the last 14 days will also not be treated or permitted into the clinic.

Fertility Solutions COVID-19 Policy

Additional precautionary measures have been implemented to protect staff, patients and the great community.

These include:

  • Mandatory use of masks and immediate handwashing/hand sanitizing for all patients who enter the clinic and;
