Payment Options For Treatment And Storage Accounts

dandelion seeds blowing in wind

Fertility Solutions is always trying to provide an array of payment options to our patients. For your convenience, we currently offer two payment options.

You can either:

  1. Pay the full fee, where you will receive a 3% discount on all Medicare items, or
  2. Pay the out of pocket fee (gap fee) without the discount.

When you choose to pay by Direct Bank Deposit and you are having an egg collection/embryo transfer/insemination procedure, your payment is due 2-3 days prior to the procedure.

If you chose to pay via Eftpos/Credit Card, then payment is not required until the day the procedure occurs.

In order to reduce the financial stress fertility treatment can cause, our clinic does not require upfront payment in most cases. This benefits your by minimising the amount of time you are out of pocket.

On the day of your procedure, our administration staff will complete all necessary Medicare paperwork and will send the claim off to the Special Fertility Division of Medicare to make the process easier. This means that Medicare rebates and Safety nets will be received faster.

If you choose to pay the gap fee, we try to make the process as easy as possible for you by sending a stamped, self-addressed envelope to you so that you can return the outstanding Medicare Rebate Cheque back to the clinic.

Alternatively, if you choose to pay the full fee, you will receive a 3% discount on all Medicare items charged by Fertility Solutions. The Medicare Rebate will then be deposited into your nominated bank account approximately one week after your completed procedure.

Patients who have already reached their safety net threshold will also receive an additional Medicare payment into their nominated bank account.

Storage/Freeze Credit Card Authority

Fertility Solutions has also introduced a new Storage/Freeze Credit Card Authority to help streamline ongoing payments relating to the storage of eggs, embryos and semen.

There are basically two options you can choose from when it comes to paying for freeze and storage accounts:

  1. Complete the credit card section of the authority form which will give the clinic permission to debit a specific account on your behalf on the storage due date (6 monthly). One month prior to the due date, patients will receive a friendly reminder that another storage account is due. This not only provides you with time to budget for this payment, but can also provide you with a chance to change your method of payment or decide to respectfully dispose or donate their embryos, semen or eggs (conditions apply). If at any time you wish to change your payment method, this can easily be facilitated by emailing or phoning the clinic.
  2. Make payment via bank direct deposit. You will receive an invoice in the mail one month prior to the due date. The invoice outlines Fertility Solutions Bank details where direct payment can be made. This account can be paid at your earliest convenience prior to the due date.

Fertility Solutions administration staff appreciates that you are going through a very emotional journey and we strivesto keep the financial process as simple as possible. If you have any suggestions as to how we may be able to further simplify the payment process for you, we would be happy to hear from you. If you have any question regarding how the fees payments works at Fertility Solutions please speak to one of our friendly administration staff.
