“Big Changes are Happening on the Sunshine Coast!”
We have heard your feedback and we are making some exciting changes to the way we deliver nursing support to our patients!
“Primary Nursing”
In order to ensure consistency of care for each and every patient, you will now be allocated to a primary nursing team! That team will be your point of contact for the duration of your treatment (unless you have an appointment outside of clinic hours ie scan at 7am, you may have a nurse from the other team perform this).
Each team will consist of two nurses. Those two nurses provide coverage for each other (unless one is on leave) and you will be their focus.
“What does this mean for our patients?”
- You will speak to and be communicated with, by the same two nurses during your treatment.
- You will know who to contact if you have any questions or need additional assistance throughout your treatment.
- Your nurses will get to know and understand you better, enabling the delivery of quality care.
“What if I am currently in cycle?”
If you are currently in cycle, your nursing team for the duration of your treatment will be verbally communicated to you this week. If you wish to know sooner please call the clinic directly. We also have a new member of our team – Linda Scott – Nurse Coordinator. Linda is a Registered Nurse, Midwife and a highly experienced Fertility Nurse. Linda works in the clinic 5 days a week. She will be a wonderful support to our primary nursing teams as we transition through this change.
Additionally, if you have a preference for a certain nurse, please contact Linda – nursecoordinator@fssc.com.au and we will try to accommodate your request.
“Patient Satisfaction Survey”
As we go through change in the coming weeks and months we welcome your feedback, what is working and what is not working for you as a patient, we remain focused on delivering a professional service that strives for excellence.
In the next week we will be sending you a survey so we can look at other ways to improve our services and patient care. Thank you in advance for completing this survey – to be sent to you next week.
If you have any further questions please contact the clinic and we can schedule an appointment or call to discuss your questions further.
